Table booking systems for restaurants: prices and comparison
Tablein, Resos, TheFork or booking directly on your website – what each costs and what to look out for.
If guests can book a table only by phone, some bookings are lost – in the evening, when nobody answers, or when a guest simply does not want to call. Online booking solves this. The question is which system to choose and how much it costs.
Price comparison
Prices from providers’ websites in October 2026 (they may change):
| System | Monthly price | Limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Tablein | 67–177 € | Starter: 50 bookings, then 0,67 € for each additional one |
| Resos | 0–63 € | Free: 25 bookings per month; paid plans based on volume |
| TheFork Manager | not published | Additional commission for guests who book through TheFork |
| Booking on your website | included in the website price | No charge per guest |
What to consider
- Charge per guest or booking. With a high number of guests, it can cost more than the subscription itself.
- Booking limit. Free plans work while booking volumes are low.
- Who owns the guest data. On platforms, the guest often becomes the platform’s customer rather than yours.
- Reminders and no-shows. SMS or email reminders reduce empty tables.
- Whether booking is on your website. If the “Book” button leads to another website, some guests drop off along the way.
When booking directly on your website is enough
Most cafés and small restaurants do not need a complex table plan. A simple form is enough: date, time, number of people and contact details. You set the days and times available for booking, and receive a notification for every new booking.
In our Pro package (799 € + 19 € a month), table booking is built directly into the website – with no charge per guest. All prices.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a table booking system cost?
Popular systems cost approximately from 0 to 177 € per month. Free plans usually have a limited number of bookings, for example 25 per month.
Can bookings be accepted directly on the website?
Yes. A booking form can be embedded on your website: the guest chooses the day, time and number of people, and you receive the booking by email or in a management dashboard, with no charge per guest.
